Basic Settings
To set up a wireless connection for SW550X, a number of parameters are needed to be configured in this section
.
However, the user will have two different wireless configuring pages
when
Wireless Profile
(
see previous
subsection
)
is enabled as shown in previous paragraph and when Wireless Profile is disabled
as shown in
Figure
below
.
The only differences between the two pages are that when Wireless Profile is enabled, the Basic Settings
webpage will be disabled or cannot be used
.
When Wireless Profile option is enabled by checking the Enabled box
(see previous paragraph), the following sentence will be displayed in the pop
-
up window
: "
Basic Settings can
’
t be
used, because Profile is enabled
"
as shown in figure below
.
When Wireless Profile is disabled, the
Basic Settings webpage can be used
.
The default settings in Basic Settings
page can be in two Topology modes
:
Infrastructure Mode or Ad Hoc Mode
.
The user will have
both modes to
choose from
summarized the default settings for Infrastructure mode and Ad Hoc mode,
respectively
.
