Function
Key(s) to use Description
Bridge
The cooking zones can be bridged (linked) to each other.
This creates one large zone that can be used for example for
a large fish pan or one large cooking pan.
▷
If the zones are bridged, they cannot be set to boost.
▷
Use a (fish) pan where at least one of the centre/
middle positions of the Bridge zones is covered.
Chef
The ‘Chef function’ will activate all zones when switched on.
It makes it possible to activate the four cooking zones with
pre-set power levels.
• Heating (keep warm)
• Low temperature (Delicate cooking)
• Medium temperature (slow cooking)
• High temperature (Boiling or fast cooking)
The chef cook function is useful for professional cooking. This
function enables you to cook without making use of the power
sliders, but by moving the pans from zone to zone.
Menu
The menu function is used to keep cooked food warm.
Hence this function can also be used as melting or simmer
function.
There are three setting to select:
▷
Low setting for melting chocolate etc.;
▷
mid setting to keep warm;
▷
high setting to simmer.
Automatic
heat-up
The automatic heat-up function temporarily increases the
power (setting ‘9’) to heat the contents of the pan.
This function is available in settings 1-8.
Timer
The timer can be set separately for each cooking zone.
Cooking times of up to 1 hour and 59 minutes can be
programmed. The timer stops as soon as the pan is removed
and resumes when the pan is put back. The timer alarm beeps
after the set time has passed. The cooking zone automatically
switches off when the set time has elapsed. When no cooking
zone is selected the timer works as a kitchen timer (no
automatic switch off).
Worktop
extraction
The worktop extractor can be set at three fan speeds and
a boost (P). A delay timer function allows you to let the
fan stay on for ten minutes. The extractor will switch off
automatically after ten minutes.
