Switching on the hob and set a power level
1. Press the on/off key. A short acoustic signal will sound.
2. Press within 5 seconds a slider to select a power setting. A short acoustic signal will sound.

Setting the (kitchen) timer
1. Switch on the hob and select a cooking zone and power level.
2. Press the ‘-’ and ‘+’ key simultaneously to switch on the timer.
▷ The timer’s display shows “0.00”, and the timer symbol to the right of the display, of the
first active cooking zone from the left, lights on.
3. Simultaneously press the ‘-’ and ‘+’ key as many times as necessary, to select the cooking
zone where you want to set the timer.

The timer symbol lights on only for the active cooking zones.
4. Within 5 seconds select a cooking time with the ‘+’ and ‘-’ keys.
