2.6 Expansion slot
2.6.1 Installing an expansion card to the riser card bracket
The barebone server comes with a riser card bracket. You need to remove the bracket if you
want to install PCI Express x8 expansion cards.
To install a PCI Express x8 card:
1. Remove the chassis cover. Refer to
section
2.1 Chassis cover
for details.
2. Release the screw that secures the
expansion slot bracket.
3. Remove the expansion slot metal
bracket.
4. Remove the PCIe riser card.
Set aside the screw for later use.
