6) [3 Peel Throw]
• Make the desired setting based on the type, size and skin thickness of the item to be peeled.
Peel Throw
The centrifugal
force on small
items is small.
1. Peeling small items
On small items there is less force to “throw” (eject) the peeling, so set
the Peel Throw setting to “Yes.”
If you set the Peel Throw to “None”, there is the chance that the peeled skin will
foul the peeling operation.
Because the initial peeling speed is always the fastest, the peeler
sometimes does not work well with soft items, or those without a core.

The centrifugal
force on large
items is large.
2. Peeling large items
Since larger items have more outside inertia, the Peel Throw can be set
to “None.”
If the spin speed is too low, the peeled skin may foul the peeling opera-
tion.

3. Peeling citrons
• When peeling fruit with an inner skin (albedo), set the option to “None – half pass” or “None – 1
pass”.
• The peeler can be set up with the menu and blade to remove deeper layers of skin (albedo).
For these items choose “None – half pass” or, if necessary, “None – 1 pass.”
