CONNECTION 1 THROUGH A TRANSFORMER
NOTE:
THE FOLLOWING OPERATIONS MUST BE CONDUCTED BY
A PERSON SPECIALIZED IN ELECTRICAL FITTINGS.
1. Next to the door please place a branching box where to lodge the
homologated transformer supplied by Gardesa, as shown in fig.
1.
2. Connect the transformer electrically following the signs on the
transformer. The RED and BLACK wires, coming out of the
fairlead spring of the door, must be connected to the clamp of the
transformer with the sign OUT, while the wires of the clamp
with the sign IN must be connected to the 230 Vac net.
EXIT SYSTEM
SIGNALLING LACKAGE OF POWRE SUPPLY
EXIT is a multiple bars system with three leds each on the inside
panel of the door and they turn on in case there is a lackage of the
power supply (black out).
During the normal operation, the EXIT bars can be setted off,
totally or partially on choosing the preferred configuration among
the already pre-set ones.
TECHNICAL FEATURES
• EXIT power system 6 Vac 50 mA or 7,5 Vdc 50 mA
• Led Ø 3mm high-visibility blue
• 4 Ni-MH rechargeable batteries, AA type, 1800mAh capacity
• 16 hours charge autonomy with 5 bars turned on.

CONNECTION 2 THROUGH A WALL POWER SUPPLY
UNIT
In case you're using the homologated power supply unit provided
by Gardesa, follow the steps; as for the door fairlead spring RED
and BLACK wires, let them come out through the slot between the
frame and the wall from the inside of the door.
1. Connect the external power unit BLACK wire to the door
fairlead spring BLACK wire; then, connect the external power
unit WHITE/ BLACK wire to the door fairlead spring RED wire.
HOW TO REPLACE THE BUFFER BATTERY
1. Remove the closing cap of the battery-holder located on the
section bar of the door lock-side, unscrewing it 90° anti-
clockwise, with a screwdriver or a coin.
2. Pull out the battery-holder from the cylinder by means of
buffering effect of the inside spring .
3. Replace the four rechargeable batteries with models with same
characteristic, respecting the polarity shown in fig. 2.
4. Put the cap back in the original closing position.
WHAT HAPPENS IN CASE OF LACKAGE OF 230Vac NET
VOLTAGE
All the EXIT bars on the door inside panel will turn on indicating
the way out and will turn off only when the 230Vac net voltage is
restored or when the inside battery buffers are exhausted
(autonomy of approximately 16 hours with 5 bars turned on).
WHAT HAPPENS IN DAILY OPERATION
All the EXIT bars on the door inside panel are turned off or
constantly turned on with the configuration chosen among the
pre-set ones.
HOW TO SET THE EXIT BARS TURN-ON
The EXIT bars turn-on setting is possible only under normal
circumstances, therefore only with a 230 Vac net voltage.
Every time the
RED
led button on the EXIT central bar (see fig. 3)
is pushed, the bars leds turn on as per the following chart; it's a
continuous cycle turn-on sequence, therefore after the last
configuration on the chart, the cycle starts again from step 1.
