LOCK WITH CYLINDER

ATTENTION

This lock is provided of a burglar-resistant system to stall the
deadbolts. The system works in case of an attempt to force the
cylinder, with the door lock (with diadbolts out).
All the assembly steps (first lock installation or change) and the
cylinder tests must be taken while the lock is opened (with
deadbolts in) to prevent the blocking system to start.
On the contrary, the lock will block off irreversibly in the lock
position; Gardesa won't accept any complaint if these instructions
haven't been followed.

EURO-PROFILE CYLINDER INSTALLATION

Tighten the hexagonal head-screw (1) on the cylinder (2), on the
internal side fit the cylinder in its slot on the lock. Insert the fixing
plate (3) from the internal side of the lock with the pin (4) directed
towards the hexagonal head-screw (1). Insert the fixing screw (5)
with its plugs (6) and fix the anti-drill defender (7). Fix the black
backplate (8) with its screws (9), install the cover plate (10) and the
thumbturn (11) with its allen bolt. Fit the external backplate (12).

USE AND MAINTENANCE OF THE CYLINDER

1 - Put the key in completely: do not force the key and do not twist
during the fitting or the pulling out. Put out the key any time after
opening or closing.
2 - Do not use other objects or non original keys to activate the
cylinder.
3 - Never use the key to pull or push the door.

4 - To lubricate the cylinder use protective, water-resistant and de-
oxidant lubricants. Do not use oil nor powdered graphite - which
are dust and grease factors which can compromise the cylinder
functioning.
5 - Clean the frontal face cylinder with a soft and dry cloth; do not
use abrasive or solvent-based products.
6 - Do not paint the frontal face cylinder.
7 - If used correctly, the flat key of the euro profile cylinder doesn't
bend nor break. The coding area is not submitted and it shows
alveolar incisions of calibrated depth: if some dirt gets stuck on
them, clean the key with a soft cloth before putting it in the
cylinder.

OPTIONAL ACCESSORIES

"CHAMPIONS" CYLINDERS

All CHAMPIONS cylinders allow with the VARIOUS system
to double the cylinder life. In the beginning, the cylinder is coded
to host key "A"; by simply putting in key "B", the cylinder records
the new coding, definitely excluding key "A".

SERVICE CYLINDER INSTALLATION

Insert the Yale type cylinder from the inside and fix it with the side-
screw, test the functioning while the door is opened.
