Replacing the profile cylinder
1 Switch off the electrical power.
2 Carefully remove the upper part of the housing. (“Removing the upper part of
the housing”, page 48).
3 Disconnect the ribbon cable connecting the circuit board in the upper part of
the housing to the lower part of the housing.
· Pull on the plug; never on the ribbon cable, as this can be damaged.
4 Loosen the hexagon screw that connects the locking cylinder to the mount-
ing bracket.
5 Push the locking cylinder backwards through the housing and remove it.
· Ensure that the spring switching elements are not damaged by the locking
lever of the cylinder.
6 Push the new locking cylinder through the housing from the inside of the
housing.
7 Fix the locking cylinder to the mounting bracket with the hexagon screw so
that the locking cylinder is flush with the front of the housing.
· Adjust the locking cylinder so that the locking lever strikes the carrier plate
of the switching element when switching.
8 Ensure that the locking lever of the profile half cylinder correctly actuates the
spring switching elements and thus the switches.
9 Attach the ribbon cable further.
10 Screw the housing into place.
11 Start up the device.
12 Make sure that the device is working properly.
