The inputs IN1 and IN2 are active when they are connected to 12 V. When the output 
OUT1 is active, the potential in point A in 

figure 16

 will be close to 0 V. The same applies 

for a similar connection for OUT2.

4.11  Activation of Battery

Activate the real-time clock backup battery by closing jumper J1 on the circuit board. 
(Jumper pin 2-3 to activate).

The backup battery is a 3V lithium battery. At any interruption in the ordinary power 
supply, the real-time clock will be supplied by the battery.
