IPMI Feature Set

320

ATCA-7540 Installation and Use (6806871A01A

)

To support the local SEL, a software emulated RTC is enabled which upon startup requests the 
local time from the shelf manager by sending an IPMI standard command Get SEL Time. Once 
the initial time is received, the IPMC maintains the time locally and no further synchronization 
is performed with the shelf manager.
