4BCOMMUNICATION SETTINGS

7.4.1.2. TIME STAMPS

This session will show signs that they want to send or not the message time. Thus, in

the corresponding checkbox will indicate if it is to analog measurements, counters or

digital signals are sent to the time display. Furthermore, it should indicate which

time format you want to use the 3-byte or 7 bytes and if the time is sent in the frame

must be in local time, which applies the offset from GMT and displacement by

summer / winter.

7.4.1.3. FULL SCALE VALUES

There are fields for Voltage, Current, Frequency and Power. In each of these fields

must enter the expected maximum value for the magnitude indicated. The value

obtained when the point is read as described under "Format of Measures".

In operation of the protocol, the maximum value of the measures to be sent, will be

120% of full scale voltages and currents and powers 144%

7.4.1.4. FRAME FORMAT

This field indicates the frame format for the data communication. If the “send objects”

option is selected (bit SQ = 0), the IOA of each element will be indicated with it. If the

“send elements” option is selected (bit SQ = 1), then every consecutive element will

be sent contiguously, indicating only the IOA if the first element.

7.4.1.5. MEASUREMENTS FORMAT

The analog measurements can be sent either normalized or scaled. To send such

measuremens it is important to properly configure the fields “Full Scale Values” as

described in the following paragraph.

7.4.1.6. NORMALIZED MODE

Fort he normalized mode the value is sent as a percent of the Full Scale Value. So

the máximum value to be sent using 16 bits will be 100% of the maximum scale

value.
