Do’s & Don’ts
Do not lift the Genius X2 by the Antenna or hold it during phone calls.
To ensure maximum call quality, position the antenna upright and away from
sources of interference.
Use only the antenna supplied.
Dispose of the battery in accordance with local laws. For personal safety, batteries
are not to be exposed to fire or extreme environments.
Any modifications to administrative settings of the Genius X2 may render it
unusable. Please consult with a certified technician prior to changing
configurations of the Genius X2.
Do not use the phone during a thunderstorm or conditions whereby the phone may
cause harm by electric shock.
Do not stress any cables connected to the phone, including the handpiece cable.
If the Genius X2 is not working for any reason, do not attempt to repair it. Refer to
the place of purchase or installer for the repair procedure.
For maximum reception and call quality, be aware of the surroundings and position
the Genius X2 where it is not subject to signal attenuation. As a guide, the Genius
X2’s reception strength will be approximately the same as a mobile phone with the
same carrier. The Genius X2 also contains information on the signal strength via the
menu.
Do not use the Genius X2 in any designated “No Service” area, or area where
mobile phone use is not permitted.
Only update firmware with the assistance of qualified technical service personnel
and when asked to do so. Powering the Genius X2 off during a firmware upgrade
may render the phone unusable. It is the responsibility of the user to provide an
adequate data plan to upgrade (approx. 200Mb per upgrade).
It is the user’s responsibility to ensure that the carrier plans are suitable for their
individual use for cellular and/or VoIP phone calls, and data for access point to
cellular data networks.
