18. Orient the chute and pedestal to its most
vertical position and tighten pedestal
hardware to 15 – 31 lbf-ft (20 – 42 N•m).
19. Pull back chute control lever and move it
left and right to ensure correct travel of
discharge chute.
NOTICE:
If chute does not stay in position,
adjust as directed in
page 27 or repair before operation.
Remote Deflector Control
1. Route deflector cable along the left side
of engine, through J-clamp on rear
engine bolt, and under lower handlebar.
2. Move rubber seal out of the way and
snap cable end into cable anchor under
control panel. (Figure 14).
3. Push rubber seal securely over end of
cable fitting to prevent water from
entering cable.
4. Move chute deflector lever all the way
back and connect deflector cable eyelet
to deflector lever under control panel.
Secure connection with hairpin.
5. Make sure deflector cable routing
appears as shown in figures 13 and 14.
6. Move lever to check deflector travel. If
necessary, adjust nut on cable end
attached to chute deflector to obtain full
range of travel (see

1. Remove hardware from skid shoes.
2. Install hardware through blower housing
and skid shoe as shown.
