2. Using a scribe or pick tool, lift the piston and

valve assembly collectively off the shaft.



NOTE: It is advisable to use cable ties to pre-

serve the upper and lower shim stack/piston order.

3. Using a sharp blade, cut the piston band; then

remove the band and discard.



NOTE: Care should be taken not to scratch the

piston when cutting the band.
