10. Connect one clamp of the red jumper cable to the positive terminal of the recipient
battery. Ensure that the second clamp of the red jumper cable does not have con-
tact to any metal.
11. Connect the second clamp of the red jumper cable to the positive terminal of the
donor battery.
12. Connect one clamp of the black jumper cable to the negative terminal of the donor
battery.
13. Connect the second clamp of the black jumper cable to a not varnished metal sur-
face of the engine or on the frame of the recipient vehicle. Make sure that the
clamp is clamped far away from the recipient battery and form all components of
the fuel system.
14. Start donor vehicle and let it run several minutes.
15. Start recipient vehicle and let it run several minutes before removing the jumper
cables.
16. Remove the jumper cables in reversed order. While doing this, make sure that no
short circuit is created via the contact of the clamps with bare metal.

Tyres
7.8.1
Checking the tyre pressure
The correct tyre pressure ensures optimum driving comfort and maximum service life
of the tyre.
Before driving, check the tyre pressure (e.g. with the tyre pressure gauge of the on-
board tool kit):
1. Unscrew dust cap from the valve.
2. Check tyre pressure (on cold tyre) (refer to the following table).
3. If the tyre pressure does not coincide with the specification, correct tyre pressure.
4. Screw dust cap onto the valve.
WARNING
Risk of explosion. Never connect both battery terminals of the battery to be
bridged.
NOTE
Have the battery and the electrical system checked at an authorised
Arctic Cat specialist repair shop before the next putting into operation of the
vehicle.
NOTE
A too low tyre pressure leads to premature wear and overheating of the tyre.
