2. The Missed Dart Detector senses if a dart misses the
darthead.
When connecting up the Switch Matrix Membranes to the
TI Board, make sure the 13” darthead is plugged in to the
bottom pins on the J2 connector and the 15” darthead is
plugged into the top pins of the J2 conector.

3. The technical term is Hall Effect Sensor. Basically it
senses magnetic fields. This little transducer senses
when the door is flipped to the other darthead.
5. This USB port connects to the USB card on the
motherboard.
3.7 Switching from a 15” Darthead to
a 13” Darthead and Back
The Galaxy 3 is unique in that it has both a 15” and 13”
darthead on the same game. Why two dartheads? Why
not? The idea was to give you one more choice in playing
darts.
The 15” darthead is common in the United States but the
13” is more common in European nations. The 13” is a
smaller head so it tends to make the game more challenge-
ing.
Note: When flipping dartheads you DO NOT need to turn
off the game.
Push the Darthead Latch toward the darthead and push
on the catch screen near the latch.

4. This two pin connector is used for the Door latch Sensor.
With this in place, the board won’t cause a missed dart
to go off when changing between the 15” darthead and
the 13” darthead.
Adjusting the Missed Dart Sensitivity
The new Target Interface board doesn’t have an adjust-
ment pot on it. The sesnetivity can be adjusted in the
Galaxy 3 Service Mode under Machine Setup More
Machine Setup Target/Missed Dart Detector setup.
From there you can disable the Missed Dart Detector all
together or
Adjust Missed Dart Detector Sensitivity.
