RMC
Commissioning
The Rack Multi Control is developed for smooth and user friendly configuration. When
delivered from the factory the RMC is configured to monitor one temperature and to generate
an alarm on channel 1 if the temperature reaches the high limit value of 60 degrees Celsius.
When power is connected the RMC backlight activates and
the latest firmware is displayed. The backlight can also be
activated be pressing any of the navigation buttons and
remains on for about 5 seconds.
When the code lock accessory is used in conjunction with the Emka swing handle the
backlight turns on when the door unlocks and turns off when locked.
Next a lamp test is performed to insure their functionality. All channel indicators light up, first
green then red. After a few seconds the temperature on sensor one is displayed.
When the sensor is installed in the wrong manner the RMC
will display
“Temp sensor error!”
If there is only one
temperature sensor connected, it must be installed on
analogue Input 1.
The 8 digital und 4 analogue inputs are shown by the 8 alarm channels. When an alarm is
raised, the corresponding visual alarm indicator lamp starts flashing red, the internal buzzer
goes off and the display lists the event. The alarm is acknowledged by pressing any of the
navigation buttons. The buzzer stops and the corresponding alarm lamp changes from
flashing red to steady red if the fault signal remains or extinguishes when the fault signal is
resolved.
Depending on the configuration, the 3
potential-free outputs
can actuate a fan can be
activated via an output relay and an alarm message is send via an Email and/or a
mobile text message (optional GSM modem necessary) or a SNMP Trap. Also, one of
8 digital inputs can be configured to monitor the status of the fan and displays it via
the associated green lamp.
