Fit the primary gear, aligning the mark-

ings on both gears correctly as shown.

•

Rotate the countershaft to align the slot

on the shaft itself with the slot in the

countershaft drive gear and permit in-

stallation of the key.

CAUTION

MAKE SURE THAT THE KEY IS INSTALLED AND SEATED
CORRECTLY AS SHOWN.

•

Fit the washer and the fastener nut of

the countershaft drive gear.

CAUTION

MAKE SURE THAT THE KEY IS INSTALLED AND SEATED
CORRECTLY AS SHOWN.

•

Fit the special primary gear lock tool.

•

Fit the primary gear fastener nut and

then tighten both nuts of the gears to

the specified torque.
