STARTING PROCEDURE
Do not operate the starter for more than 10 seconds at
a time. If engine does not start, allow at least 60
seconds cool-down period between starting attempts.
Not following these guidelines may cause damage to
the starter.
If the ignition button is released before the engine has
started, allow the starter and engine to completely
stop before re-engaging the starter. This will prevent
possible damage to the starter and/ or engine flywheel.
To start the engine, perform the following
steps:
1. Switch the Master Power Switch to the
ON position.
2. Wait for the Home Screen to appear and
verify the system is ready.
3. Press the RUN button and hold until the
engine starts.
In cold start situations the display will show the “Wait
to Start” message. Wait until this message disappears
to crank the engine.
Pre-Operation Warm-Up
Allow the cold engine to run at idle for 5 minutes or more while the engine coolant and
hydraulic temperatures rise to the operating temperature. In extremely cold conditions it
may take 30 minutes or more for all fluids to reach normal temperature levels.
STARTING WITH JUMPER CABLES
Batteries emit flammable fumes that are explosive,
resulting in injury. Prevent sparks near batteries. They
could cause vapors to explode.
Do not allow the jumper start cables to contact each
other or the applicator.
