Self-Loading Bale Carrier – Operator's Manual

55

When the platform is fully lowered, in transport position, the underrun protection bar must be down
toward the ground in safety position (A). However, the bar must be up under the tables (B) when
the platform tilts to unload bales. The underrun protection bar's hydraulic system is connected to the
platform's system, and the bar automatically changes position as the platform moves.

NOTE:

When the platform is fully lowered, keep pressing the
control for a few more seconds so that the underrun
protection bar lowers all the way toward the ground, in
safety position.

Figure 24 — Underrun Protection Bar in Transport (A) and Unloading (B) Positions

Before using the bale carrier, ensure that the
underrun protection bar goes up under the tables
when you tilt the platform and returns to its safety
position when you fully lower the platform.

5.3 Loading bales

The RBM bale carrier collects horizontal bales.

When the bale carrier is in use, the loading arm
should never touch the ground. This could damage it
or cause an accident.

Ensure that the underrun protection bar is down
toward the ground in safety position before starting
to load bales.
