The straight arm of the pin must be vertical and in contact with the valve to allow fluid to flow
between the tractor and the brakes.
To connect the bale carrier's hydraulic brakes to the tractor:
1. Connect the hydraulic brake hose to the tractor.
NOTE:
If there is still pressure inside the hose, you can relieve it
by unscrewing the quick-connect coupling using tools.
2. Ensure that the hydraulic fluid can flow between the tractor and the brakes. To do that,
ensure that the straight arm of the pin is vertical and is in contact with the emergency valve
(see Figure 8 and Figure 9).
3. Attach the cable from the pin to the tractor, making sure that it goes through the cable
passthrough.
4. Pump the tractor brakes several times. The hydraulic brake accumulator recharges when you
use the tractor brakes.
5. Make sure that the brakes are working properly (see "Checking the brakes when getting
To disconnect the hydraulic brakes from the tractor:
1. By rotating the pin back and forth a few times, actuate the emergency valve to relieve the
pressure in the hydraulic brake accumulator.
NOTE:
If the pressure is not relieved from the accumulator before
the hose is disconnected from the tractor, it will be
transferred to the braking system after a while. It will then
be more difficult to reconnect the hose.
2. Ensure that the straight arm of the pin is vertical and is touching the emergency valve.
3. Disconnect the hydraulic hose from the tractor brakes.
