Precis Remote X/Y Control Panels are designed to fit in a standard EIA
19 in. (48.26 cm.) rack. We recommend connecting the Remote Panel to the
switcher and power source before placing in the rack.
2.1 Connecting to an AutoPatch Switcher
To connect the Precis Remote to an AutoPatch switcher:
1. Plug the X

Net link cable into either Comm Link on the back of the
panel.
2. On the switcher's CPU, loosen the screws on the X
N
Net connector (for

Net connector location, see the switcher documentation).
3. Insert the wires of the X
N
Net link cable from the Remote Panel into the
X
N
Net connector (see Figure 5).
4. Tighten the screws.
The Remote Panel is ready to communicate with the switcher as soon as
power is applied.
