Applying Power
Your Precis
LT
ships with a power cord that is compatible with your country’s power
sources. The enclosure’s universal power receptacle accepts all major international
standard power sources. Power consumption varies by model; maximum power
specifications are located to the right of the power receptacle. For detailed power
specifications, see page 3.
WE RECOMMEND USING A SURGE PROTECTOR AND/OR
AN AC LINE CONDITIONER.
Note
: We recommend applying power to the Precis
LT
before applying power to its
source and destination devices.
To apply power to the Precis
LT
:
1. Attach the cables from the source and destination devices to the input and output
connectors on the rear of the enclosure (see applicable section for your model).
Do not
apply power to the source and destination devices until after Step 3 has
been completed.
2. Optional – Attach an external controller.
3. Apply power to the Precis
LT
.
The power indicator on the front of the enclosure illuminates.
4. Apply power to the source and destination devices.
The system is ready for a test switch (see page 17).
After the system is powered down and power is reapplied, the routing state (inputs to
outputs) is recalled as long as it had been stable for several seconds prior to powering
down.
