Command lines begin with the applicable command character, followed by the
characters and numbers indicating levels, inputs, and outputs. Command lines must
always end with “
T
” (Take) command, which tells the system to execute the
command.
Example of a command line:
CL1I2O3T
(C)
Change on
(L1
) Level 1,
(I2)
Input 2 to
(O3
) Output 3, (
T
) Take to execute the
command.
Generating Commands (Execute, Disconnect, Status)
Executing a switch (Change command) enables the connection between an input
(source) signal and one or more output (destination) devices. Disconnecting a switch
deactivates that connection. The Status command verifies that a switch has executed
correctly or that a signal has been correctly routed to multiple outputs.
Note:
If your Precis
LT
has a control panel, BCS commands will work even if the
control panel is locked, but cannot be used to unlock the control panel.
Command Line Formats Quick Reference
Note:
The formats and examples below all omit the Level command.
Function

routes Input 1 to Outputs 1 and 2
Disconnect a
switch
DO#T
or
DI#T
DO7T
disconnects Output 7
DI15T
disconnects Input 15 and all outputs connected to it
Verify switch
status (result

parenthesis)
SO#T
or
SI#T
SO6T(7)

SI3T( )
verifies Input 3 is not routed
SO1T( )

Execute Commands
Execute commands begin with “
C
” initiating a Change command for routing a
switch. The characters and numbers that follow the “
C
” command tell the system
which level(s) to use and which inputs and outputs to connect. The last character is
“
T
” (Take) which tells the system to execute the command.
