4. An instructional screen will be shown, outlining the steps to be performed to apply the test gas.
The 30 second timer is to allow for adequate filling of the Calibration Cup with the target gas. The
steps can be expanded as follows:
a. STEP1
– turn on gas: get the target gas flowing into the Calibration Cup at the correct
rate (refer to Section 5.2.1)
b. STEP2
– cover cal cup: cover the cal cup to create a seal.
c. STEP3
– purge cal cup: allow the target gas to replace the air in the cup for ~30 seconds
