Checking the working width with the mobile test rig (optional)
The working width is determined in part by the
specific spreading properties of the fertiliser.
As is well known, the primary factors that affect
the spreading properties are:
Granule
size
Bulk
density
Surface condition and
Humidity
The setting values of the setting chart are, there-
fore, to be considered
guideline values
only, as
the spreading properties of the different types of
fertiliser may change. We recommend checking
the working width of the machine using the
mo-
bile fertiliser test rig
(Fig. 61).
