Chapter 2 - Hardware Installation

2.1

Hardware Description

The Wi² consists of a WiFi access point with an integrated power supply and interface module that

connects to either a BreezeMAX or BreezeACCESS outdoor unit (SU-ODU) for backhaul and

network management software. Each unit is housed in a weatherproof enclosure for mounting

outdoors.

Figure 2-1: Wi² Unit (without SU-ODU)

NOTE

The diagram in

Figure 2-1

includes a mounting plate for an SU-ODU. (It does not show the actual

SU-ODU). The SU-ODU can also be installed separately, in which case there is no need to attach
the mounting plate to the Wi² unit.
