Virtual Network Configuration Options

BreezeMAX Wi² and BreezeACCESS Wi² System Manual

Authentication must occur via an external device. If

Use Alvarion access controller

is enabled

(under

), this must be an Alvarion access controller, otherwise a third-party RADIUS server

can be used.

When the

Mandatory

option is enabled, all wireless users must authenticate using 802.1X,

regardless of whether other methods are active. For more information, see

“Using More Than One

Authentication Type in a Virtual Network” on page 71

WEP

This option provides support for users using WEP encryption.

Use Alvarion access controller

NOTE

For security reasons, using 802.1X without enabling at least WEP encryption is not recommended.
