Alpha InTec 40GS2
The Alpha InT ec r
ange of high efficiency condensing boilers incorpor
ate the latest technology in boiler design. With impro
ved
bur
ner efficiency and reduced electrical consumption together with high quality and reliability
.
The boiler output will automatically adjust according to the requirements of the system.
The InT ec r
ange are designed to wor
k with most central heating controls ho
wev
er we recommend the Alpha Easy Stat
standard controls or the enhanced Alpha Climatic boiler energy manager further impro
ving the system efficiency by v
arying
the system temperature depending on the room temper
ature and heat losses.
In addition all InT ec models f
eature optional connections for an outside sensor to enab
le the boilers built in w
eather
compensation feature
.
The boilers will provide centr
al heating when required during the on times as set according to the controls fitted.
Hot water
will always tak
e prior
ity over the centr
al heating whenever a hot tap is opened.

OPERATING THE
BOILER
1
INTRODUCTION
Switch the boiler on at the mains supply socket s
witch. The boiler will automatically go through a system purging oper
ation
for 8 min
utes; this is indicated b
y a count down on the displa
y starting from 96.
During this oper
ation the pump will turn on
and off to help remove an
y air that may be tr
apped in the heating system. If the boiler has already been commissioned b
y the
installer then this operation can be ter
minated by pressing the reset b
utton (item 3 in Fig. 1).
Note:
It is important to allo
w this purging operation to function when the boiler has been initially installed to remo
ve all the air
from the system.
After this purging operation the boiler will be in 'Standb
y' or 'On' mode.
By pressing the On-Off button (item 1 in Fig.
1) the Standby or On mode can be selected, or press and hold the On-Off
button f
or eight seconds to turn the boiler off
.
Standby -
In this mode the boiler will not provide hot w
