The temperature of the hot w
ater to the taps can be adjusted by tur
ning the hot water selector s
witch (item 5 in
Fig. 1) to the required v
alue shown on the displa
y in °C.
When a tap is opened the display will indicate the temper
ature of water in the boiler heating the tap w
ater and not
the actual water temper
ature to the tap.
The temperature of the centr
al heating water can be adjusted b
y turning the centr
al heating selector switch (item 6 in Fig.
1).
When the heating is on the temperature of the w
ater leaving the boiler to the r
adiators will be displayed.
If an exter
nal weather compensation probe is fitted, indicated b
y the
symbol (item 18 in Fig. 1) in the displa
y, it will
automatically var
y the temperature of the w
ater in the radiators and on mild da
y the radiators will not f
eel as hot as on a cold
day, this is nor
mal and not a fault with the boiler or heating circuit.
The room temper
ature will still be maintained as set by the
room thermostat.
When an exter
nal weather probe is fitted, the centr
al heating selector switch (item 6 in Fig.
1) will no longer adjust the flow
temperature in °C
, instead the display will sho
w a scale of 1 to 9. Each n
umber corresponds to a line on the graph in Fig 2
i.e. line 6 will giv
e a flow temper
ature of 60°C when the exter
nal temperature is 10°C
.
Note:
This is the temper
ature of the water supplied to the r
adiators and not the desired room temperature
. The time and
temperature will still be maintained according to the setting of the room ther
mostat.

TEMPERATURE
Off -
In this mode there is electrical po
wer to the boiler b
ut the boiler will not function in any condition.
On -
In this mode the boiler can be switched betw
een 'Summer' or 'Winter' settings by pressing the Summer/Winter b
utton
(item 2 in Fig. 1).
Summer setting -
The boiler will only pro
vide hot water when a tap is tur
ned on and the central heating will not activ
ate even
if requested by e
xternal controls (frost protection and pump cycle are still activ
e).
Winter setting -
The boiler will oper
ate in both heating and hot water
. The heating will activ
ate depending on the time and
temperature from an
y heating controls fitted. Hot w
ater will always tak
e prior
ity over heating when a hot outlet tap is opened.

FILL AND PRESSURISE THE SYSTEM
InT ec C models are supplied with a f
actory fitted filling loop located under
neath the boiler, (a fle
xible silv
er coloured
braided hose).
Do not attempt to fill or pressurise the system while the system is hot - wait for it to cool.
The filling loop on the underside or underneath the boiler will ha
ve tw
o tap connections at either end of the filling loop as
shown in Fig.
3 (C model shown with f
actory fitted filling loop).
These taps should normally be in the closed position 90° to the tap housing.
T o fill or pressur
ise the system open one tap fully by tur
ning it 90° anticlockwise in line with the tap housing.
The second tap
should be opened a quarter of a tur
n and the water will star
t to refill the system (water should be heard filling the system).
Y ou should see the pressure gauge (item 7 in Fig.
1) rise bac
k up into the green area on the pressure gauge betw
een 1 bar
and 1.5 bar pressure.
Once the pressure gauge is in the green area tur
n the taps back to the off position and the w
ater will stop filling the system.
If you happen to fill the system too m
uch and the pressure gauge is over the g
reen area, just bleed w
ater from a radiator until
the pressure on the gauge goes down into the g
reen area.
