MANUAL

Step
3
–
Damage
is
often
seen
on
the
blade
tip.
This
photo
shows
tip
of
a
blade
which,
although
it
has
only
light
damage,
must
be
replaced.
Step
4
–
Blades
must
be
balanced
both
as
a
pair
and
individually
and
must
also
have
the
same
center
of
gravity.
Check
that
both
blades
weigh
the
same.

photo

blade
balancing
tool
with
a
pair
of
tail
blades
being
checked.
Step
5
–
The
main
blades
must
also
balance
perfectly
in
order
to
minimize
vibration.
This
photo
shows
a
special
spirit
level
type
tool
being
using
to
check
that
the
main
blades
are
balanced.
Important:
blades
must
be
replaced
with
new,
identical
items
as
supplied
by
Alpha.
Blades
must
always
be
replaced
as
pairs.
Step
6
–
When
replacing
blades
in
the
blade
grips
ensure
that
they
are
fitted
the
correct
way
round:
tail
blades
always
rotate
clockwise
(as
viewed
from
the
right
side
of
the
UAV),
but
main
blades
must
rotate
anti
‐
clockwise
in
ALPHA
800
(as
viewed
from
the
top
side
of
the
UAV).
Step
7
–
The
blade
grip
must
be
tightened
adequately.
For
main
blades,
a
good
rule
of
thumb
is
as
follows:
lift
the
helicopter
pitch
up
to
vertical
and
gently
jerk
the
helicopter
downwards,
the
blades
should
not
move.
Step
8
–
Tail
blades
must
also
be
tightened
adequately.
Again
they
should
maintain
their
position
when
the
tail
rotor
is
rotated,
but
it
should
be
possible
to
move
them
in
the
tail
blade
grip
with
gentle
finger
pressure.
