AHRS
SOFTWARE
UPDATE
PROCEDURE
It
may
be
necessary
to
update
the
software
of
the
AHRS
unit
inside
a
VECTOR
autopilot.
In
this
case,
the
following
procedure
should
be
used.
Important:
Once
the
Vector
evaluation
board
is
powered,
maintain
power
connected
all
the
time
and
do
not
turn
it
off
until
completing
the
last
step
of
this
procedure.
First,
you
need
to
connect
the
Vector
to
the
development
board,
to
do
so,
follow
steps
1
to
6
of
the
Vector
software
update
procedure
described
above.
Step
1
–
Once
connected
to
AP
in
Visionair
check
that
the
IMU
alarm
is
off,
and
open
Config
Tools
Step
2
–Access
and
download
the
configuration
of
the
AHRS
tabs
(Basic,
Configuration
and
Telemetry),
or
save
the
values,
this
is
to
be
used
later
to
check
that
no
sensible
configuration
has
been
changed
during
the
updating
procedure
Step
3
–
In
Basic
tab
click
the
Program
POLAR
button.
The
IMU
alarm
should
now
be
active,
indicating
that
communications
have
been
lost
with
the
AHRS.
The
AHRS
unit
is
now
in
programming
mode
Step
4
–
Close
Visionair,
ensure
the
power
on
Vector
evaluation
board
remains
connected
and
disconnect
the
serial
cable
from
the
COM_DBG
port
and
connect
it
instead
to
the
COM_POLAR
port
on
the
VECTOR
Evaluation
Board
