XS910/8 Unmanaged Switch Installation and User’s Guide

Note

The twisted pair ports on the switch feature Auto-MDI when

operating at 100 Mbps. Each port is individually configured as MDI

or MDI-X when connected to an end-node. Consequently, you can

use a straight-through twisted pair cable when connecting any

network device to a twisted pair port on the switch. A port operating

at 100 Mbps uses four of the eight strands in twisted pair wiring.
