Authentication Key
— Defines the HMAC-MD5-96 or HMAC-SHA-96 authentication level. The
authentication and privacy keys are entered to define the authentication key. If only authentication is required,
16 bytes are defined. If both privacy and authentication are required, 32 bytes are defined. Each byte in
hexadecimal character strings is two hexadecimal digits. Each byte can be separated by a period or a colon.

Privacy Key
— Defines the Privacy Key (LSB). If only authentication is required, 20 bytes are defined. If both
privacy and authentication are required, 36 bytes are defined. Each byte in hexadecimal character strings is
two hexadecimal digits. Each byte can be separated by a period or colon.

Define the fields.

Apply
. The SNMP user is added, and the device is updated.
To modify SNMP control privileges:

Click
SNMP > Users
. The
SNMP Users Page
opens.

Click
Modify
. The
SNMP User Configuration Page
opens:

Define the fields.
