Modifying the Advanced Properties
After you have installed the driver software, you can use Table 8 to verify
or change the adapter properties:

After you upgrade the driver software, the Advanced Properties may
change.
Note
The configuration steps in the table may differ slightly if the “Classic
Start Menu” is set on your computer.

Offload Allows for task offload capabilities
when using Hyper-V Virtualized
Network (HVN) functions 1. In Microsoft Windows,
right-click the Network Adapter
in Network Connections and,

3. Set the desired Encapsulated
Task Offload value.
Flow Control Enables or disables the receipt or
transmission of PAUSE frames.
PAUSE frames allow the network
adapter and a switch to control the
transmit rate. The side that is
receiving the PAUSE frame
momentarily stops transmitting. 1. In Microsoft Windows,
