Chapter 6 8720MC-RPS Startup and Operation
8720MC-RPS Powerup
Sequence Follow these steps to apply power to the 8720MC-RPS unit.
1.
Turn the RUN sequence signal OFF.
2.
Turn the input power circuit breaker to the ON position.
3.
Apply power to the 8720MC-RPS unit (see page 79 ).
4.
Verify that the unit powers up properly without incident such as
abnormal sound or odor.
5.
Verify that there is no input power voltage drop or short circuit.
6.
Verify that the rating of the 8720MC-RPS unit matches the parameter
setting of the Unit Selection (F.001).
For more information on parameter F.001, refer to F.001 Unit Selection
on page 89 .
8720MC-RPS Operation This start-up procedure describes the minimum set of parameters. Your
application may require programming other parameters in addition to those
described in this start-up procedure. Refer to
Configure Parameters beginning
on page 85 for a description of all parameters to verify whether you need to
program additional parameters.
In this publication, there are references to parameter names and the numbers
that identify them for the 8720MC-RPS unit. This publication uses the same
format shown on the display to refer to parameters:
U.nnn
F.nnn
where: nnn is a number
U designates User parameters
F designates Factory parameters
