dense collection of small (for example, a treasure of coins).
“Filter A” has 5 adjustment values from 00 to 04. This filter controls the
speed of recovery of the ability of the device after registering a signal
from a target to register a signal of the next target. The lower the filter
value, the slower this restoration, but the greater the sensitivity of the
device. With increasing filter value, the sensitivity of the device decreas-
es, but it becomes possible to lower the sensor of the device closer down
to the ground surface, because sensitivity to the ground signal is also
reduced. The default value is suitable for most in-depth search tasks for
relatively large items. If you want to search for individual medium-sized
objects at a small distance of the sensor from the ground, it is advisable
to increase this parameter.
As in all other programs, the current “economy” and”turbo” modes
affect the search depth. But also for increasing or decreasing the number
of false (non-target) signals.
As in all other programs, the value of the GS Filter and the GS Zone af-
fect how the program works. For more information about their purpose,
see the corresponding section of the manual.
* RECOMMENDATIONS FOR TARGET SIGNALS
The vast majority of large targets for this search mode have fairly pro-
nounced two-way signals (including when cross-checking crosswise),
and their hodographs, in the absence of large metal debris over the tar-
get, have a shape close to the hodograph of such targets “by air “Because
the effect of the soil is greatly reduced. That is, the identification of tar-
gets is even more reliable than in the normal search mode with a sensor
in the immediate vicinity of the ground. For example, when testing a DP,
when a helmet (clay soil) was found at a depth of 1 meter, it gave a swept
hodograph with VDI +62 (like in the air), when rechecked in the usual
search mode, it was defined as a small iron target with a loop-like nar-
row hodograph and VDI -78 -82. That is, in the normal mode, a strong
signal of ground ferroxides was superimposed on a weak signal of a deep
helmet, “transfer” its signal into the sector of small iron targets. There
was no surface debris. When scanning in the DP, there was no ground
signal and could not affect the true value of the VDI
