Application
This high-performance sorption separator acts as a pre-filter for active carbon or oxidation systems (odour
reduction).

protects the subsequent
filter systems from clogging by grease and water-based emulsions,
thus extending filter life and enabling cold oxidation plants to function properly.

Description
The
hydrosorp®
sorption separator collects and agglomerates the smallest droplets; once a certain droplet
size is reached they run off through a porous gutter.
Patented in Europe,
hydroSorp®
consists of a very high quality hydrophilic ester foam layer, thermally
treated to create an internal grid structure. This guaranties fast drainage of absorbed fluids thus preventing
unwanted droplet extraction from the rear of the separator.
According to need, the separator can be cleaned with an automatic washing installation or by hand. In winter
a heating element prevents freezing.
Maintenance
The
hydroSorp®
separator is fully regeneratable. The ester foam material can be cleaned in an ordinary
washing machine at 60°C using non perfumed detergent.
The cleaner the material is kept, the longer its life cycle.

Residuals
Residues from the filtering and washing process must be disposed of according to the rules and regulations
in country of operation.
hydroSorp®
itself is usually disposed of as non-hazardous waste.
