Plasma-chemical oxidation –
plasmaNorm®

Directly above the pre-filter are located the
electrode plates
. The
transformer
integrated
into the device applies a
high voltage
to the electrode plates, thereby generating plasma.
The plasma occurs as a result of the extended supply of energy to the gaseous air (fourth
state of matter. 1st solid, 2nd liquid, 3rd gaseous, 4th plasma). This micro or non-thermal
reaction causes
oxidation
of the
odour molecules
in particular. The
hydroSorp®
pre-
filter located before this protects the electrode plates from impact with particles.
The electrodes of the electrode plates are made of stainless steel and are supported by a
non-conducting
carrier material
. The plasma is generated within the plates.
