Max. Mb/s
Maximum rate of data transmission in megabits per second.
Max. RTS Retries
The maximum number of times the AP will issue a Request to Send before stopping the attempt to send
the packet from the radio port.
Max. Data Retries
The maximum number of attempts to send a packet before giving up or attempting to reassociate.
Max Retry Packets
The number of times Requests to Send (RTS) reached the maximum retry number.
Multicast
A MAC address that specifies a set of nodes within the overall network. Examples of multicast
destinations could include bridges and Novell stations.
Multicast packets
The number of packets received that were sent as a transmission to a set of nodes.
Name Server
An abbreviated name for Domain Name Server.
Overrun Packets
Packets that were discarded because the AP had a temporary overload of packets to handle.
PC4800
The radio port of the AP.
Packet CRC Errors
Cyclic redundancy check errors that were detected in a received packet.
Packet Forwarding
The packet-forwarding capability of the port, either “Enabled” or “Disabled.”
Packet WEP Errors
Encryption errors.
Parent
The name of the station to which the client, bridge, or repeater is associated.
Parity
An error-detecting process based on the addition of a parity bit to make the total number of bits odd or
even.
Primary Port
The network interface which determines the AP’s MAC and IP addresses for most system
administration purposes. The primary port of this AP is usually the network port.
