12. DEVICE CONFIGURATION
On the ALMEMO
®
2450-1 measuring instru-
ment a number of parameters can be config-
ured. To do so when switching ON press and
hold down key
MEM
. The function field
should then show an abbreviation for the pa-
rameter and the main field should show the
value currently set.
To select from all possible parameters,
if any are available, press keys :

12.1 Device address and networking
To communicate with networked devices it is absolutely indispensable that
each device should have its own baud rate setting and its own dedicated ad-
dress; this is because only one device should respond per command. Before
starting network operation ensure therefore that all the measuring instruments
involved are assigned different device numbers. This is the purpose of the
afore-mentioned device address parameter.
