The visor is made of non-scratch polycarbon and has a hole to centre the visor into the housings
on the movement base. The tooth of the visor interacts with the teeth on the movement base to
offer stability while the visor is open in the various positions.
We recommend that you carry out the following operations
while resting the helmet on a flat surface.
To remove the visor, lower it until it is completely closed. Starting
on one side of the helmet, loosen the aluminium screw and
remove it together with the plastic anti-rotation plate. Repeat
the operation on the other side and remove the visor.
To install the visor, together with the components as shown in the
figure and tighten the aluminium screw with a screwdriver. Repeat
the operation on the other side. Raise the visor and check that it
works properly.
NB: If the visor does not fit perfectly to the rubber profile
of the edge of the helmet, it might be necessary to adjust
or replace the visor mechanism base. In this case, contact
an AGV service centre.

1.3) Customised visor opening
For the AX-8 Dual it is possible to replace the tooth mechanism
and customise the visor opening. The 2 mechanisms available
have different numbers of different thickness teeth, depending
on the type of use.
- Red mechanism (fitted as standard): visor lock in open or
closed position and intermediate visor lock positions.
- Blue mechanism: visor lock in fully open or fully closed po-
sition without intermediate positions.
To remove the tooth mechanism, pull it outwards (1). To rein-
stall or replace it, position it in its housing and push the me-
chanism (2) until it clicks into place.
