Engine operating manual

Clean fan grille

After long periods of operation the cool-

ing system may become clogged with

dirt. To prevent overheating and engine

damage:
- Regularly clean the fan grille (B/3, C/3).

Check before each start-up.

Air cooling system

Clean the interior cooling fins and sur-

faces at least every 100 operating hours

(sooner if there is heavy dust accumula-

tion). Remove the fan housing for this.

If the engine has been running

shortly before, the silencer will be

very hot - do not touch the silencer!

Exhaust

Regularly clean the area of the exhaust

pipe B/9, C/9 from grass, dirt, and com-

bustible debris.

Fire hazard! Check before each

start-up.

Handle hot engine components with

caution!

The silencer and other engine parts get

very hot when the engine is running and

are still hot directly after the engine is

switched off. Keep a sufficient distance

from hot surfaces and keep children

away from the running engine.

Speed control

The speed governor must be correctly

adjusted in order to start, operate and

stop the engine at the correct speed.
