10-4 Debugging Vectors

In the previous lesson we have discussed the vector setup. As you have 

learned you have to select a wavetable as a base wavetable to interpret 

the physical waveform indices in the vector memory in terms of device 

cycle names and eventually data parameters.

So there is always one step of indirection between what is stored in the 

vector memory and what you see in the vector editor which is the 

mapping of the base wavetable:

physical waveform indices --> device cycle (+ data parameters)

Debug wavetable

In a debugging scenario you might want to directly view the physical 

waveform indices in the vector memory. For this purpose you define a 

debug wavetable which does nothing but mapping the physical wave-

form indices to device cycle names which are simply the corresponding 

hex numbers. 

You can define all action as no actions (.) because as we saw above the 

base wavetable does not require this information. 

An example of a suitable debug wavetable is given below.
