Agilent 93000 SOC Series User Training Part 1, October 2004

Figure 155

shows the change in appearance of the data for one pin in

the device cycle edit area of the Timing Setup window, as you proceed

through the steps to create the Timing setup.

Steps to Create the Timing Setup

A “*” at the end of the device cycle name shows that this device cycle

has not been defined so far.

Starting with the first line in

Figure 155

, there are three steps to

perform:

Define a Device Cycle

Place the Edges

Create the Waveforms

Defining a Device Cycle

The first step when setting up the timing is to define a device cycle. The

device cycle will be defined for one or more pins. The device cycle name

can describe the actions which take place at one or more pins.

Select

DevCycEdit - Define

Click the

select all

button to select all pins.

Enter a name for the Device Cycle (for example,

cycle

Enter the length of the Device Cycle:

Click the

Define

button.

The name appears in the DevCyc column for all pins.

Placing the Edges

The second step when setting up the timing is to place the edges in the

tester cycles for each pin or pin group:

Click into the

column to select the pin or pin group.

Click into the upper portion of the entry in the

column to select

the number of the edge to be placed.

Click into the lower portion of the entry in the

column to place

the selected edge beside the

column.
