Fill the supply tank
NOTE
This section applies to the internal tanks. If you are using external tanks, see
supply and waste tanks, page 141
Fill the supply tank at the beginning of each day of use. A full supply tank is typically
sufficient to process eight to ten 384 SpectroCHIP Arrays. After eight to ten SpectroCHIP
Arrays, the supply tank must be refilled.

water.
The reservoir can be any clean container that can receive the end of the 5/16" OD
(outside diameter) supply tubing. The other end of the tubing is connected to the
instrument. Water will be pumped through the tubing into the supply tank.
NOTE
The tubing supplied with the instrument is six feet long.
2.
Insert the open end of the supply tubing (5/16" OD) into the instrument Supply port
The open end of the tubing is the end without the weight and filter
.
WARNING
!
WARNING!
Be sure to insert the tubing into the Supply port, not the Vac Waste or Waste port.
The tubing must be clean, otherwise samples may become contaminated.
3.
Push the end of the tubing firmly into the port until it is fully seated (approximately ¾"
into the port).
