For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.
CAUTION
!
To avoid microbial growth, do not allow water to remain longer than seven days in the supply tank.
After seven days, discard the water and refill the tank with fresh Type 1, >18.2 M
Ω
water.
10. Manually prime the water supply system (see
for instructions).
C.3 Setting up an external waste tank
for external supply tank requirements. Waste water drains to the internal
waste tank first, then to the external waste tank.
NOTE
It is strongly recommended you clearly label the tank “Waste Only”. Include any labeling required
by local regulations—the waste water may contain ethanol and residual DNA sample.
1.
Place the external waste tank in its final location.
CAUTION
!
There is no waste water pump. The waste tank position must be lower than the instrument to allow
draining by gravity.
2.
Insert the open end of the waste tubing (the end without the quick-disconnect fitting)
into the external waste tank
Make sure that the tubing is placed securely in the external waste tank so that it does
not accidentally pull out of the tank.
CAUTION
!
Waste water will flow immediately when the waste tubing is connected to the Waste port. Be
prepared for this.
If the internal waste tank is full, approximately 3 gallons (11.4 liters) will drain out the
Waste port when you connect the waste tubing.
3.
Insert the waste tubing quick-disconnect fitting into the Waste port. Push the fitting in
until it clicks into place
.
