3.1.1 General description 

This is an incomplete machine 

 

The series of the PDZ gantry axes is used for the linear, smooth movement of rigidly 
mounted loads in 

non-explosion hazardous

 and ambient and Installation conditions 

that  are  defined  for  this  axis;  see  Technical  Data  Sheet  in  the  current  Handling 
catalogue and on the website: www.afag.com 

The axis is installed horizontally.  
 

3.1.2 Safety information 

NOTE

 

 

This Montage Instructions must be read carefully before carrying out 
any activity on or with the gantry axis. 

The gantry axis must only be used in accordance with the intended 
purpose. 

Modifications to the gantry axis that are not described in this Montage Instructions or 
have  not  been  approved  in  writing  by  the  company  Afag  Automation  AG  are  not 
permitted.  In  the  case  of  improper  changes,  assembly,  installation,  operation, 
maintenance or repairs, Afag Automation AG accepts no liability

.

 

 

CAUTION

 

 

If a gantry axis is installed in a machine or in a system, this 
must be provided with a safety fence as acceleration values up 
to 3g can occur when the gantry axis is in full Installation.
