Cleaning and maintenance of
The anti-tilt mechanism will
only work when the cooker is
pushed back into position and
the screw has been mounted.
Please remember this when
moving the cooker to clean
behind it. For hygienic and
safety reasons the ceramic hob
and oven must be kept clean.
Fat droplets and food remnants
will fume when heated up and
in the worst case could cause a
fire.
Enamel surfaces
Carry out daily cleaning with a well
wrung-out cloth. For more stubborn
marks use a cloth or a soft plastic
sponge and washing-up liquid or
universal cleaner.
Never use scouring pads, wire wool,
hard plastic sponges, scouring powder
or other abrasive cleaning agents.
The oven valve
Remove the valve and wash in hot
water and washing-up liquid.
The ceramic hob
Scrape off spillages of sugar, sugar-
containing foods (jam, syrup etc.),
melted plastic and aluminium foil
immediately from the hot hob. If the
hob is allowed to cool down it may
suffer damage. A dirty hob will
impair heat conduction between the
cooking zones and the pans. After
use, wipe down the cooking zones
with a damp cloth and washing-up
liquid. In the case of severe soiling,
try the following:
1. Remove food etc. with the razor.
2. Ensure the hob has cooled down.
Use the cleaning fluid supplied.
Shake the bottle and squeeze a
couple of thin lines of product onto
the hob.
3. Wipe the hob clean with a damp
cloth or kitchen paper. Remove
stubborn stains by rubbing hard
with kitchen paper.
4. Wipe off excess cleaning fluid with
a damp cloth.
5. If necessary, wipe with a dry cloth.
Make sure the hob is dry before
heating up again. A damp hob may
take on rainbow-like stripes when
heated up.
