Serial ports (COM1, COM2)

The PCA-6157's two RS-232 serial ports let you connect serial
devices (a mouse, printer, etc.) or a communication network. Serial
ports are also known as COM ports: COM1 and COM2.

The serial ports are located on the card mounting bracket. This lets
you access them through the back of the chassis when you install
the card. The RS-232 standard is implemented in different ways
with different devices. If you are having problems with a serial
device, be sure to check the pin assignments, as shown in the
following table:
